Marshall 7NHP Traction Engine
On behalf of the owners we are pleased to offer for sale this splendid Marshall Traction engine, built in 1930 with works number 85620 she was the last 7NHP engine to be built at the Gainsborough works. The engine was exhibited by Marshalls at the Royal Show in Manchester and from there was sold to a contractor in Grange-over-sands.
Being a later build its fair to say she had a relatively easy working life, as such is a very original engine. She was restored in the 1980s and has been kept in very good mechanical condition since and remained in the same ownership for over 40 years.
The boiler is reported to be in sound condition, although original it is reported by the boiler inspector she should have no issues come the next 10 year inspection and hydraulic test which is due in 5 years. She has recently passed her annual steam tests so is ready to be enjoyed by the new owner. Boiler is water fed by the common arrangement of crank driven water pump and steam injector.
As always we would be pleased to help with any part exchanges and finance can also be arranged through our partners Classic and Sports Finance if required.
