2" Clayton Lorry

One word...Beautiful. The work of an award winning model engineer this Clayton lorry was built for the enjoyment of doing so and every aspect has been executed to the highest standard. I would go as far to say it is exhibition quality.

Although a relatively common model finding an example that has been recently completed or done to such a high standard is now proving more and more difficult. The engine is in new and unsteamed condition having only been run on air, and as you would expect it runs like a watch!

The professionally built copper was supplied by Western Steam and comes with the relevant paperwork from new. Should the new owner wish for us to do so we would be happy to arrange hydraulic and steam tests with an independent boiler inspector (additional costs apply)

The Robin Dyer design, of which this is, is well proven and for its size the engines are surprisingly powerful. They are considerably lighter than the equivalent 2” Traction Engine weighing around so transport is not an issue.
