Burrell 4" STW Traction Engine. Brand New.

A brand new STW 4" Burrell Traction engine, complete, running and steam tested for the same price as a new set of unbuilt kits (including the vulcanised wheel options and delivery)

A stalwart of the STW product range the 4" Traction engine is their most popular product and for good reason, the design is tried and tested and when built properly is an excellent all rounder performer on the rally field. With the warehouse full of spares in Daventry should any maintenance work be required in the future it can be handled by anyone competent with a set of spanners rather than needing skills on the lathe.

This engine is the 3rd to be built by the owner, a gentleman who's passion for steam engines is in the build rather than operation hence why the engine is up for sale straight after its completion. The boiler will be getting a hydraulic and steam test by an independent examiner before sale at our workshop and should any niggles come up we will sort these before its heads to a new home.

The engine is being sold ready to rally with the normal coal, oil, firing irons and tuition included. We add the caveat with any new engine that this is a brand new engine and as such you will no doubt have a few months of settling in and tightening things up while everything settles.
