4.5" Foden C-Type

We are pleased to offer for sale this well built Steam Traction World 4.5" Foden, the engine is presented in as new condition having only recently been completed and seen minimal use since. It comes fully hydraulic and steam tested and could be taken straight to a steam rally.

We have had a couple of 4.5" Fodens in recently and found them a great engine on the road and rally field, this scale offers the balance between capability and practicality for storage and transport and ideal for someone looking to upgrade from a 4" Traction Engine.

The engine has been built by an experienced engineman and full size owner, mechanically it has been put together really well and runs nicely. It would be fair to say on close inspection the paintwork is a bit pedestrian which we have tried to show in the pictures. I think this is made more obvious with the plain cab as such some signwriting and lining would finish the engine off nicely and can be personalised to the new owners tastes.

We had a very pleasurable afternoon driving the Foden around our yard and on the local roads, its at the stage of being virtually new but nicely run. With some finishing touches it will make a cracking engine for someone and give many years of enjoyment.
