4" Burrell SCC. Steam Traction World. New Build

We are pleased to offer for sale this well presented, newly finished, Steam Traction World Burrell Single Crank Compound. Having only been fired a handful of times for testing purposes this engine offers the future owner an engine in brand new condition for similar money as a new set of kits!

The SCC makes for an interesting model and sits nicely between the single cylinder traction engine and double crank road locos. They drive in a very similar way to the standard single cylinder version but with the added benefit of more power, improved efficiency and some extra weight over the front end. With the addition of the belly tanks there is little chance of this engine "popping a wheelie" even with the stoutest of drivers.​

The Steam Traction World kits are highly regarded and when put together properly produce really capable engines. For owners without workshop facilities you have the piece of mind that virtually all the spares are available off the shelf from Steam Traction World. The engine comes with all the build instructions and kit paperwork.

We have had the engine in steam around the yard and it performs and steams well,

as with any new build engine we add the caveat that there will be a period of settling in. We don't foresee any major works just the usual minor adjustments and nip ups.
