3" Burrell & Traction Trailer

We are pleased to offer for sale this nicely built 3" Plastows Burrell complete with matching traction trailer.

The 3" Burrell is a very popular model and for good reason. It makes a fantastic introduction to the rally field, with enough power to comfortably pull a couple of people whilst remaining small enough to be easily transported and stored at home.

What really sets this particular example apart, however, is the traction trailer. Miniature engines of this size are often paired with a practical driving trolley which, whilst perfectly functional, doesn't always look quite right behind the engine. This purpose-built trailer not only looks the part, but works exceptionally well as a driving trolley, whilst providing useful additional space for coal, water and all the other essentials for a day on the rally field.

The Burrell is fitted with a commercially manufactured copper boiler, with water supplied by both a crank-driven pump and steam injector. Recent boiler testing has been carried out under a commercial scheme and the engine will be supplied with a fresh steam ticket for its new owner.

The package includes the usual firing irons, tube brush, electric blower, coal and oil, together with a day's tuition if required.

As with all our vehicles, UK delivery and export can be arranged, and where possible we are happy to consider steam and vintage vehicles in part exchange.
