A nice little winter project for someone to enjoy is this nicely made 2" Fowler Showmans. It would be fair to say the stick-on lining is somewhat short of the rest of the quality of the engine, removing this and replacing with some traditional painted lining would make a huge difference to the overall appearance and feel of the engine.
Looking past this underneath is a nicely made engine, I cant imagine it would take a huge amount of work to get steaming or you could simply keep it as a very nice engine on display. If it was a larger scale we would be re-commissioning it ourselves but my hands don't seem to work on the little nuts and bolts and we have a few other pressing projects on in the workshop at the moment so thought best to sell as a winter project.
We havent got any boiler paperwork but being copper you should have no issues testing it with the local model club if you desired to steam the engine in public.
Viewing is welcomed at our workshop in Suffolk or we would be happy to ship to the UK or further afield if necessary. Shipping to UK mainland is included in the asking price.
