2" Burrell Traction Engine and Trailer

We are pleased to offer for sale this very nicely presented and well-put together Steam Traction World 2" Burrell Traction engine and Traction Trailer/driving seat. The engine although previously steam tested has seen very little use having been on display for a number of years.

We have had a few of these 2" Burrells in over the years and like all STW products when built properly (like this one) they make for great little engines and perform well. The 2" engine is in our opinion a bit too small for use on the rally field but on smoother surfaces is more than capable of pulling the driver around to have an enjoyable few hours steaming. The Traction Trailer is a well thought out driving trolley with the seat doubling up as a stainless steel water tank, foot rests slide into mounts making for a comfortable driving position which puts no weight on the engine.

Having a quick look at STW website a new set of kits of engine and trailer would cost over £14,000!

The engine is being sold without a boiler test as we imagine like most in this scale it will be enjoyed at home rather than out and about, however we would be happy to arrange hydraulic and steam test for the new owner if required for sensible additional cost.
