At Legacy Vehicles we specialise in the build and restoration of miniature steam engines and we know one of the most important aspects of this is to finish the engine in a high-quality and durable paint job. With this in mind we have worked closely with paint suppliers to create a reliable system which not only offers an excellent finish but is also hard-wearing and continues to look great for many years. 

We are happy to work with owners at any stage of their builds and restorations whether that be sending us a complete engine to strip down or simply component parts...one job we seem to get quite a lot is wheels!

Any painter will tell you the finish is all in the prep, as such anything painted here at Legacy Vehicles gets fully soda or shot blasted to ensure an ideal surface for the paint to key to and mitigate the risk of reactions between old and new paints. It is also worth noting we will only use paints from our suppliers but can colour match to suit any customers requirements. 

With any engine build we always recommend finishing it with professional lining and sign-writing, although they look great without it we dont know anyone that has regretted having it done and doing so gives plenty of scope for people to personalise their engines.
