6" Foden C-Type

We are pleased to offer for sale this well built and finished half size Steam Traction World Foden C-Type. Being only two years old the engine is in that sweet spot of being virtually new but all nicely settled in and ready to rally and enjoy.

Half size Fodens are one of our favourite engines and when put together properly (like this one) the Steam Traction World engines are some of the best performers. Being a true compound with 3 speed gearing the Foden effortlessly eats up the miles on road runs but is also comfortable pottering around the rallyfield.

The boiler is water fed through a crank-driven pump and reliable steam injector. It steams like a witch and being compound rather than double high keeps up well with the steam demands even when getting on at a fair lick. It has been tested by an independent inspector since completion.

As with all our ready to rally engines it is sold with firing irons, coal, oil, extension chimney and a days tuition if required. We are happy to consider all steam and vintage vehicles part-ex and finance can also be arranged through our specialist partner. Delivery to the UK and export all available.

The lining on the cab has been done with vinyl so should the new owner wish to personalise it this would be easy enough to remove without damaging the paintwork underneath.
