4" Burrell T.E.

On behalf of the owner we are pleased to offer for sale this well built 4" Burrell Traction Engine which has been made to the popular LSM design. A good solid engine it runs well and has just had a 10 year inspection and hydraulic by an independent inspector for the new owners full peace of mind.

Built in 1997 by an experienced model engineer it has seen little use since completion with the builder moving onto other projects once successfully completed. In preparation of sale the owner has undertook a number of jobs to ensure it is ready to be rallied with minimal worries or trouble including a full re-tube and new safety valve and steam injector being fitted.

The professionally built boiler is free steaming and is easy to get along with, water feed is via a crank driven pump and steam injector. Thickness readings from the boiler report show it has plenty of life left in it (minimum firebox crown 7.7mm) so do not be put off by its age its a good'un.

The engine comes complete ready to rally with firing irons, coal, oil and a days tuition included. We would be happy to consider all steam and vintage vehicles part exchange. Nationwide delivery or export can be arranged if required.
