Burrell Showmans Style Tractor
On behalf of the owners we are pleased to offer for sale this stunning Burrell Showman's style steam tractor. Burrell 3313 left the Thetford Town works in 1911as a steam roller, she was converted in early preservation years into a steam tractor and under went a major restoration in mid-2010s and turned out in its current Showman's form.
The engine is presented in excellent mechanical and aesthetic condition and wants for nothing. The restoration included extensive boiler work including a new flanged and riveted firebox and boiler barrell. All motion works and the cylinder block also had a major overhaul and runs beautifully and is a powerful, free-steaming engine. The tender and belly tanks were also replaced during the restoration with new.
A new set of wheels were built for the Burrell and gearing was replaced throughout with a full set of machine cut gears. A 2-speed engine, she was "geared up" to suit her new form and now covers the miles very well being able to happily trundle along at 15-18mph making her a very practical and useable roading engine. From new the engine was fitted with a winch and differential.
Overall this cracking engines offers the new owner many happy years of enjoyment with only general maintenance required. Engines in this condition do not come up for sale very often and we are confident anyone who views the engine with a view to buying her will not be disappointed.
As always we would be pleased to help with part exchanges where possible and finance can also be arranged through our specialist partner.
