Wallis and Steevens Advance 6 Ton Roller

On behalf of the owners we are pleased to advertise for sale this delightful Wallis and Steevens Advance steam roller 7816, “Queen Maude”. A 6-ton example she is presented in very good condition and is ready to rally and enjoy.
Originally built in 1926 the engine underwent a full restoration in the early 2000s which included extensive boiler work with a new barrell, firebox and front tube plate being fitted. A photo library documenting the restoration accompanies the engine. The boiler is reported to be in sound condition with full reports available from the independent boiler inspector available for genuinely interested parties. Boiler water feed is through two Gresham and Craven injectors.
The engine comes with everything needed to rally including:
- A full set of fitted tarpaulin sheets and chimney cover
- Firing irons (poker, ashpan rake, shovel, tube brush)
- Steam and bearing oils
- Suction hose for water pick up
- Safety valve blanking plate for future hydraulic tests
- Lunkenheimer Whistle
- Wheel chocks
- Towing pins and front fork locking pins
- Vinters spanner for difficult to reach nuts
- Copies of the Wallis and Steevens parts book and sales literature.

The engine is located about 45minutes from our premises in Suffolk and we welcome anyone to combine a viewing of the engine with a visit to Legacy.
